Mycelium

It seems to me that it is the nature of these interactions that is the most important aspect of our perception
of the space around us and the objects in it,
and it is this aspect that I explore in my art.

Forest Breathe

I like it when my work flows freely through air and light, as if dissolving in space
and being in direct interaction
with the environment. It took me several years of experimental research
and a lot of patience to get this effect,
but it has already yielded results.

“I am a ceramic artist
from Belarus and I have always been fascinated
by the nature of the places where I live. My biggest source of inspiration
are my walks, where I observe how different textures - loose and smooth - contrast,
how amazing structures
of plants interact with the air and light that surround them.”

Intro

I use the technique of applying a porcelain slip
with a rubber tip syringe in layers.
A kind of "skeleton" is created for the base
in a plaster mold and when it becomes strong enough, I take it out and finalize it.

There are many nuances to consider
in this technology, including the shape of the object itself, the structure and frequency of the interlacing, the humidity of the slip and of course the firing.
But it is in this technology that I have found a way
that gives my ceramic objects a lightweight, weightless effect. I want to develop this search
in the future and look for new expressive possibilities.
