Metalsmith Doris Chou-Durfee is renowned for her metal and beadwork designs, where she skilfully incorporates inspirational motifs and symbols infused with humour and vibrant dashes of colour. Currently based in Washington DC, USA, Doris meticulously handcrafts each piece in her studio, maintaining low toxicity levels and utilizing recycled metals to minimize waste. Prior to this, Doris spent ten years working in Hong Kong and Beijing, where she earned a graduate certificate in jewelry design from the Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA 中央美術學院）in Beijing, China, in 2015. She also honed her craft through studies in metalsmithing at Jewelry Arts in New York.

Since 2014, AMULET by D has been dedicated to creating meaningful jewelry for extraordinary individuals. The designs of AMULET by D have graced prestigious events such as New York Fashion Week and NYC Jewelry Week, and have been featured in renowned publications including Harpers Bazaar Jewelry, Time Out, InStore, Schon, and JCK, among others.
