Anu Kirkinen has worked with jewellery design and art over 20 years and it has always been a strong part of her personality.
She lives and works in Tampere, Finland. During her studies she visited workshops in Estonia
and Hungary which had quite strong influence to her work skills.

She works with a playful and curious mind while challenging her way of thinking and breaking boundaries of her own. She makes distinctive, aesthetic and unique jewellery
which are recognisable from colours, strong shapes and asymmetry.
Her art pieces are one way to communicate about her roots; karelian heritage, inner thoughts,
her relation to the nature and observations about the environment.
Experimenting with two things; art and functional pieces keep her passion
in flames and she is always curious to find out a new way of working.

for daily use which are a bit different from the mainstream,
a bit trashy but at the same time wearable and visually recognisable
by her crippled way to see beauty around.
