After studying corporate finance, Malacou Lefebvre started his professional life supporting business creation and development. But his hands were already itching,he felt the keyboard wouldn't be enough.

So he started working with steel in his parents' garage where he apprehend these new techniques on more or less efficient tools (rather less than more).

After a few months and the first sales to friends, he moves into his own workshop. He delved into the techniques that surrounds the work of steel, wood, leather ... and he filled sketchbooks after sketchbooks.

It is in Lyon, France, that Atelier Malak’s creations come alive to offer a new perspective on contemporary furniture. Taking roots in the drawing’s strokes and the materials, the collection wants to offer sensitive, sharp but also sensual and soft lines.

Playing with organic and inorganic materials is also at Atelier Malak’s core : they are carefully chosen to put forward their specific interconnection between them.

The poetry of the materials and the lines merging together aspire to be as expressive as can be so that they feel alive, sentient and are able to carry an emotional charge.
