As a glassblower, I am fascinated by the hot, flowing mass of glass. It is a material, that never stops surprising me. I am passionate about experimenting with this matter, searching for new and unexpected qualities of it, something that makes me look at glass from a different perspective.
I try to give the material freedom to get shaped the way it naturally would by the physical forces and chemical reactions, therefore, each of my works are the outcome of a conversation between the material and me, constantly reacting to each others moves, slowly reaching a state of equilibrium.
For me, blowing glass is not only about the material, but the state of mind and the team as well. In the process, there is nothing else but the goal to reach and the crew that work as a single mind, excited together, disappointed together, or happy together. A successful piece is never the accomplishment of the gaffer, but the fruit of many.
