CHIARA BRUNI
Cluster Photography & Print Exhibitor | 2025
Chiara Bruni is an Italian photographer and author born in Frosinone in 1987. She began her studies in Humanities at La Sapienza University of Rome, graduating in Contemporary Theater
in 2015. She attended courses in Stage Photography, Darkroom, and Analog Printing at Officine Fotografiche (Rome) between 2016 and 2017, but most of her training comes from her curiosity to explore the
photographic medium independently and freely.
Her imagination is involved with a past reality; she feels a close connection to melancholy. She has the instinct to overlay, comment on, and manipulate what others have experienced before her. She investigates the theme of identity in an intimate sphere, relating the body to the surrounding space and creating alternative realities.
She is oriented towards a surreal and dreamlike dimension. Her research includes various creation processes that range from digital and analogue collage to hand-stitching interventions with needle and thread on images created by her or belonging to archives.
