From social psychology to photography, through guidance and publishing, Claudine Roux has always been interested in the place of humans in society.

 Her regular practice of photography began 4 years ago, when she moved from Paris to Marseille. Everything was then new and unexpected images arose in her daily life. She then decided to catch them with her Iphone and to keep a diary on Instagram, surprises of the day.

Her art studies were her eyes. If her practice of photography is recent, her interest in contemporary art and photography dates from her teenage years. Encounters with the work of artists and photographers changed her view of the world: Christian Boltanski, Louise Bourgeois, Nan Goldin, Gerhardt Richter, Elina Brotherus, Sophie Calle...

Claudine Roux's photo project is based on her gaze. Her photo equipment is very light, only her Iphone. Therefore, she can get it at any moment ready to instantly catch the images she sees.

Her purpose is to capture all these fleeting aesthetic moments to give them existence and share them. It is also a diary of her life, in filigree, a sort of puzzle to follow.  And you can read them in different ways, according to the key you choose. Here she shows images caught in contemporary art exhibitions. She enters into the artist mood creating a link between artworks and spectators, one sharing something intime, the others reflecting something personal in the artwork. Mysterious encounter, we will never know what part of him the artist shows us, and how it echoes for those regarding.
