“My obsession with space began with my desire to create a 'room' that could contain my image. The longing or attachment to the 'room', has been formed since childhood; it perhaps resonates with many and is inherent in the process of trying to shape the space with an image. The work aims to assert the inevitability of space and place in an image, and to relate concepts of memory and space. A 'room' full of such abstract words (from the perspective of the person working) adds a fantasy story and an engaging visuality to a realistic photographic image.”
