Sükill, Sükull, Shikill, Sikill, Sekill is a breastplate, an important piece of Mapuche cultural heritage, in southern Chile, reflecting their profound cosmology. The Sükill and its components symbolize the intimate connection between Heaven (Wenu Mapu) and Earth (Mapu), used by Mapuche women for magical-religious purposes. This piece represents a cultural and aesthetic crossover, featuring a Sükill crafted with small details woven from horsehair, a traditional craft from central Chile.
