The Carousel Ring is part of the collection "Lost in Dreamland". This project was inspired by Jingyao Wang's (Julia) childhood memories of the funfair, which used to be our magic kingdom. Julia creates wearable art installations that transform classic elements of amusement parks into enchanting jewellery, evoking nostalgic dreams. Adults turn the Carousel to enter childhood dreams, discover treasures in the exploration, relive memories, and find innocence. The blue gemstone simulates the color of starry sky, with the opal at the top representing the moon and the other one at the end of the ring representing a ticket to the amusement park. Star symbol hidden on the door represents the theme of this funfair —— dreamland, and aims to add a dreamy nostalgia.
