This Sükill is an example of the Mapuche cosmology and its relationship with nature. It is a form of personal expression that reflects their philosophy. This piece represents the Mapuche relationship with the 'Ñuke Mapu' (Mother Earth) and the geometry present in nature, as seen in flowers, snowflakes, and other patterns. These patterns are a result of natural processes and do not involve human intervention.
The flowers woven with horsehair showcase the craftsmanship of central Chile. They represent the deep countryside where women have a strong connection with their environment, particularly with flowers, springs, and their colors.
