Blown glass with a painted glass binder. Blown glass is created by using molten glass heated and shaped with different tools making different shapes and sizes. Once the shape is roughly round, I then mix glass powders with a binder or a liquid known as gum Arabic to create a paste to paint on either side of the shape. Creating a different form of glass, tapping into the natural volcanic form of glass.
