VICTORIA VILLASANA | DO WHAT YOU LOVE
Victoria Villasana (born in Guadalajara, Mexico) is a textile artist, interested in history, culture and how people relate to each other in a fragmented post-digital world. The dynamism in her work stems from the way the thread is left uncut, far below the frame, giving a surreal and unfinished aesthetic that reflects in the importance of acceptance of change, evolution and imperfection.
After spending more than a decade in London, she became known in the street art community for her cultural works and the fusion of tradition and vanguard.
She currently resides in Mexico and England continuing to explore this medium through installations, social projects, editorial and commercial work as well as collaborations with artists, brands and galleries around the world.
