This painting was inspired behind the thought of how intergenerational trauma can force a child to develop a “goldfish” mindset. There is a popular belief that goldfish only have a 3 second memory. the pattern of sweeping things under carpet will provoke a child to grow through the same environment of encouraging toxicity rather than unlearning bad habits and trying to acknowledge traumas that exist throughout the family, behavioral examples of this exist in a wide variety of ways from anger issues, to self sabotage etc.
