An unusual necklace made of many elements with atypical characteristics. The artist composed it as an object that is supposed to have a mystery, primal strength and symbolism hidden within it. She used the assumptions which Frazer cataloged as the concept of "sympathetic magic", that is: thinking based on the belief that things influence each other differently than through physical interactions - due to the mysterious affinity that binds them. She purposely used symbols: horns, claws, scales and three groups of materials: stone, metal, crystal.
Silver bird claws hold the silver head of a horned beetle. One of its smaller horns is a natural rock crystal (personally found in the forest by the artist), another crystal is hidden inside the large horn. The centre of the beetle's head is filled with a tektite - an unusual type of rock that is formed when a meteorite hits the ground, melting the Earth's minerals at high temperatures. Iwona’s secret is the metal that covers the tektite and pours out of the beetle's horns - it is an unusual material, antibacterial, with a magnet-repelling effect. At the top of the magical structure is a double ring with an interwoven structure of snake scales and vines, topped with the image of a black half-moon. A pillar of natural rock crystal grows out of it, in which the energy of the entire object is supposed to accumulate. The pendant is composed with a long necklace made of hematite and silver. According to magical thinking, hematite is supposed to be related to blood.
To summarise Iwona’s actions in creating this object - she used symbols and materials (blood, hardening in fire, repelling the influences of others, purity of a crystal, animal strength), associated with power and victory. If items can have a magical effect, then this would certainly be an amulet, that gives strength to its owner.
