EX is the IUCN acronym for extinction. The artist’s original sculptural piece, made from disparate flora detritus now sits forlornly in its taxidermy case. The creature was recorded for posterity, and captured in enamel. As with Albrecht Durer’s imaginative rhinoceros of 1515, will future generations need to imagine what we have lost?
