Ecem Naz Dalmaz (1992) received her undergraduate education from Istanbul Aydın University, Faculty of Communication, Department of Journalism. She completed her Fashion Editor training at Istanbul Moda Academy in 2011. She worked as an editor for various fashion magazines between 2012-2015. The artist, who has been involved in many art projects and group exhibitions since 2014, continues to make figurative paintings on fabrics as well as being interested in fiber art. She has been continuing her projects with Cluster Gallery in London since 2017.

She also continues to weave with the handtufting technique in Whoknowstudio, which she founded in 2021. Ecem Naz Dalmaz reflects dreams and veiled traumas with various techniques through the characters she created from the rise and fall of her culture. Besides these stories, their characters are also influenced by the political context of the country in which they live. It is possible to see traces of neo-expressionism in his works.

Whoknowstudio includes works designed by artist Ecemnaz Dalmaz using hand tuft and tufting machine techniques. Whoknowstudio, with its name, emphasizes the uncertainty of how and in what way the designs will be used. The custom- made designs, which break the perception that the artistic work is only displayed on the wall, make versatile use possible and invite the person to be a user rather than just a viewer. Whoknowstudio not only makes custom-made designs, but also makes interior designs. By being indefinite part of the space, “Whoknowstudio” designs allow the place to be both fixed and changeable.
