Giulia Morellini was born in the countryside of northern Italy. Her first steps were in product design. While switching between 3D programs and craftsmanship, she noticed the difference between the work with machines and with hands. She became more and more passionate about manual skills, finding beauty in the irregularities which a computer could not transmit. She started a goldsmithing course in Milan, where she discovered the beauty of metals. After a working experience, she began her studies in Florence in order to be able to experiment, to explore manual skills and to deepen her knowledge on the artist's jewel. She found her vision of the jewel: raw, but at the same time beautiful and which had to communicate and convey emotions, simply by looking at it.
