Hendrike Barz-Meltzer was born and raised in East Germany but has spent most of her adult life in the UK. She creates jewellery with a clear, understated, and elegant aesthetic, drawing inspiration from lines and patterns found in other art forms or occurring naturally. These influences often manifest in her work as intricate gold patterns set against silver backgrounds.

Hendrike works with a variety of materials, including silver, gold, silk, and recycled plastics, emphasising thoughtful and sustainable creation.

Based in her studio in St Albans, Hertfordshire, Hendrike showcases her jewellery through her website, carefully selected galleries, exhibitions, and annual fairs across the UK.
