IVETTE CORONA

Cluster Exhibitor | Photography & Print Fair 2022

“Born and raised in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico (4hrs drive from Puerto Vallarta), Lived in London for around 1.5yrs (late 2000-early 2002). I've always loved stories, a good story can keep me up all night or attentive for hours; that's why I fell in love with photography: I think every photo tells a story, even if you don't know the details. I think we all can stare at a photo for hours if the "shot/story" is interesting/appealing.”

”Started my formal photo studies in 2001 before I came back home from the UK (it was a one day course and cost me 100pounds, teacher was not the sweetest but ... I felt I was becoming a professional with my analog camera: a Canon T60). Since then, I've not stop and keep taking workshops and courses every year: from basic to creativity, from digital to Lightroom (you name it) that's how my style slowly turned into FineArt and Documentary; the closeness a portrait gives you with another person is fascinating and it happens as well when I document a family is so intimate that I just feel I'm with my own relatives.”

“My main income though hasn't been photography but my office job which is now "gone" (since Aug.2019) so as I say: you have to try at least once to live the life you once imagine or dream of... at least once: So here I am thousands of kms apart from my city showing you a piece of me, a couple of shots from my story as a photographer.” - Ivette Corona
