NOT A PIPE II
JJ Jordan is a visual artist, graphic designer, and photographer based in Surrey, UK. His fine art photography blurs the line between reality and illusion, using motion blur, multiple exposures, and a monochrome palette to evoke nostalgia and timelessness. Inspired by surrealism, literature, and the masters of art, Jordan constructs images that challenge perception and invite introspection. Working with both digital and analogue photography, his work explores themes of longing, resilience, and the power of imagination.
MEMORY LANES III
“My selection presents extracts from three surreal photographic projects, each challenging perception and evoking deep emotions. The Phantom Vaudeville conjures a ghostly cabaret of the absurd, exploring distortion and the uncanny, referencing great masters of surrealism such as Salvador Dalí and Hans Bellmer. Not a Pipe—inspired by Magritte’s playful paradox—urges viewers to question what they see and reconsider the familiar. Moth on a Blade reflects love’s fragility, torn between tenderness and cruelty.”
