Judith Roux is a French glass artist working between France and the Netherlands. She holds a BFA from ENSA Dijon and a BA in GLASS from the Gerrit Rietveld Academy.
She has exhibited nationally and internationally, in galleries and museums such as Sunderland National Glass Centre (UK), s12 Gallery (NO), Looiersgracht 60 (NL), the Glass Factory (SWE), the National Glass Museum (NL); and DOX centre for Contemporary Art (CZ) amongst others.
Nominated for the Young Glass 2017, she was awarded the Overduin Prize and the Stanislav Libensky Award in 2018 for her work On the Way. In 2021 she was invited to represent France at the Bornholm Biennale for Contemporary European Glass and won the Bernadine de Neeve Prijs.
Playing with subtle presences on the verge of absence, Judith Roux challenges on our usual ways of engaging with our surroundings. She creates glass objects and installations asking for care and attention, questioning notions of perception and agency.
