Majo Herseg (1993, CDMX, MX) is a self taught textile artist, clay mistress and teacher.

She started exploring in 2017, while learning diverse textile techniques and the nature of the natural dyes. Early 2018 she became immersed in the ceramics world, where she began to learn the ways of the clay in “El Engaño (casa-cerámica)” where she taught regular classes.

She has evolved to a fine art practice of select sculptural ceramics and textile pieces, as well as her own line of functional design pottery (CUMULUS) stocked in boutiques throughout México, UK & the US.

Like a cloud, everchanging, I like to perceive change. To know that I am continuous, sometimes soft and sometimes thunderous. I create and destroy everything in my path. When I rain I become flowers, air, earth, then vaporize and return to drift, to change location, thoughts, breaths, to shower another field and then again bloom...

Our world is too chaotic already. When I’m transforming the materials I try to simply breathe and flow; rest in action, take it easy, remember nature and it’s perfect ways of existing. This is my relationship with the materials that arrive into my hands. Breathe, flow, bloom. Breathe, flow, bloom. Breathe, flow, eternal bloom.
