Mario Müller, known as BASD-ART, is a Design Director based in the heart of Germany with over 20 years of experience. He began his career as a media designer, working across Wiesbaden, Frankfurt, and Berlin, collaborating with international brands and earning several awards. In 2011, he co-founded the digital agency UFOMAMMOOT in Berlin, where he explored new technologies and created innovative web specials. Since 2014, he has run the creative studio This is Miller alongside his wife, Nina.

Passionate about digital trends and technologies, he has been deeply engaged in exploring artificial intelligence since early 2023, integrating it into his digital creations to examine the intersection of humanity and technology. His work is often absurd and surreal, designed to provoke, engage, and spark connection. He is represented by yesweprompt, Germany’s first agency for AI artists.

In 2023, he held his first solo exhibition, Minds of the Machine, which featured the multisensory installation ai_am_jesus. In collaboration with ART BRÜT, he even developed an AI-inspired fragrance, EAU MY GOD, which emerged from this installation, expanding its sensory experience.

“As a Creative Director and AI artist, I design brand experiences, marketing strategies, and digital communication for social media—always with an experimental approach. This mindset also shapes my work with AI: rather than relying solely on text prompts, I modify and reinterpret my own images, often remixing colours and gradients to push creative boundaries. Many of my series build upon previous works, whether through recurring themes or trained profiles. I often use MidJourney V5.2, as newer versions tend to be too polished and lack the surreal distortions that define my style.”
