Marta Edöcs likes to experiment. She is searching for light, shadows and is often inspired by the built and natural environment, but also by her own memories. With her works she is capturing moments and thoughts. She hopes that her art objects have a positive influence on spaces and viewers.

After a scholarship for a training in art glass in the USA she started to work on architectural glass commissions. Beside the big scale works, she began to create unique wearable art objects. Her jewellery led to international recognition. She was invited to show her work worldwide at exhibitions and shows.

In our fast moving world, where information and impulses bombard us, the Network and Focus series are about watching and focusing inward. I am interested in connections, relations and our place in the system.
The technique I use is the result of an experiment. During the rather labor-intensive process - which is itself a kind of meditative state - I fuse colored glass elements in several layers in the kiln, while I grind and finally sandblast the object.

My works are characterized by a matte surface, the alternation and contrast of opal and transparent fields, which have different effect depending on the light conditions.
My aim is that my objects to become part of living spaces, to act on space, to radiate harmony and positive energy, and perhaps to make the observer think.
