Michaela Spruzinová is Czech glass artist based in Ústí nad Labem. She works as an assistant of Glass design department in Faculty of multimedia communication /University Tomás Bata in Zlín. She doesn’t have any professional studio only little basement where she creates her works. She was during her studies in the department of glass in Jerusalem and Gallery Outlet Istanbul as a curator. She runs open space gallery Deska which represent public art interventions. She likes to work in contemporary field where are no borders for material like glass. She like to do site-specific installations in combination with another platforms like airbrush, graffitti, foam moulding and more.
The vision of the world through the objects and installations and its interpretation preserves the essence of art and freedom of thought in its complexity. Michaela creates a new scheme, argues with eternity and the value of material versus the value of art. We do not have to agree with the objects, but this distinctive work does not even ask us for consent.
The fragility of spatial drawings, determines the method of adjustment. It's an extension to a story-telling and building a specific installation. Thin glass semi-finished products are drawn from various pieces of glass, which are recycled for a second life. Recycling glass is one of my basic philosophical attitudes on how not to overwhelm living space. As a result of the long hours spent preparing semi-finished objects reevaluates, or caricatures is the importance of life situations, values, and relationships. It is a proof of the maturity of thinking and interpretive skills and understanding of the world.

The choice of a taboo occupies a special place in human culture. It destroys or violates the binary division between natural and cultural given features of human life.
In Spruzinová’s stories, sexual connotations simultaneously oscillate around ubiquitous death. Death can be detected, for example, from the action of one of the objects, if we imagine its completion. It's actually an exaggeration, which we can understand as part of a joke. A joke we won't laugh at.

The tough game is as fragile as the objects themselves. It is a unique approach in art made of glass, which requires not only a difficult and time demanding process of preparation and melting, but also subsequent subtle manipulation of these fragile objects. The way of creating the objects is complicated and seemingly accidental. Technology needs to be mastered even though it seems to be born in the process. Creation in material is an agreement dependent on concessions using what the material offers. The fragility of spatial drawings, as we could look at Michaela Spružinová's objects, determines the method of adjustment, which is not forced for the author. It's an extension to a story-telling and building a specific installation.
