Meet Ana Milena Bermudez
Resin and Wood Artist, she has her own business and produces an assortment of custom and bespoke products, from coasters to large clocks and tables.
Ana doesn't just create homeware products. No, that's too easy. She believes that to truly satisfy her customers, she must infuse her passion into every piece and thoroughly enjoys the entire process. Her designs are handmade works of art of the highest quality, thoughtfully made of wood from fallen trees found in the forests around Croydon, England, so no living forests were destroyed.
Ana discovered her passion for woodworking in 2020 during the height of the global pandemic. She spent hundreds of hours watching woodwork tutorials as her love of the craft deepened. She says, "I did lots of experiments until I got to the point where I was confident, and I decided I could sell my resin designs and home decor products online."
This passion is further entrenched by the fact that her father, Orlando Bermudez, is a carpenter with over 50 years of woodwork experience. He brought her pieces of fallen oakwood, which she used to crafted wall clocks, serving board trays, and shelves. She enjoyed the work so much that Milena would get lost in time while creating her masterpieces.
What started as a labour of love morphed into a thriving business due to the overwhelming popularity of her designs.
While Milena's accomplishments are many, she still finds time for recreation. When she's not working with wood, she busies herself by spending time with her family, enjoying documentary films, meditating, and cooking.
Milena Bermudez was born and raised in Colombia, South America, but has lived in London, England, since 2001.
