MILOU VERMEER
Cluster Photography & Print Exhibitor | 2025
Milou Vermeer (b. 1992, The Netherlands) is a rising talent in the world of photography. Although she only began her photography journey a year ago, Milou's passion for the art form quickly turned into a remarkable success story. With a background in running her own modeling agency, she initially rented a studio for the agency, which unexpectedly led her to discover her passion for photography.
Her journey started in earnest last year, when she purchased her first camera and began capturing images. Inspired by a visit to an art fair, Milou ventured into artistic photography, focusing on photographing art while incorporating child models from her agency into her artistic compositions. Her distinctive style resonated, and her work quickly gained recognition.
She began selling her photographs on the agency’s website, and soon after, submitted her work to a major photography competition hosted by a prestigious art studio in Amsterdam. To her surprise, Milou won awards in two categories: Portraits and Black & White Photography. This achievement led to her photos being printed and featured in an art book, where eight of her pieces were included—an extraordinary feat for someone so early in their career.
Milou's momentum didn't stop there. She was soon invited to exhibit her work in both Paris and London in November 2024, marking a significant milestone in her burgeoning career. Additionally, in September 2024, she traveled to New York City, where she expanded her portfolio with breathtaking photographs capturing the vintage essence of the city. This experience not only enhanced her skills but also solidified her presence in the international art scene.
Milou’s journey, marked by talent, hard work, and a touch of serendipity, is just beginning, and her future in photography looks incredibly promising.
