Alleged Assault on Pax by Mars | 2021

Peter D’Alessandri studied for a BA in Fine Art Painting at the Norwich school of Art in the Eighties. He then chose to pursue an ordinary life and career, away from art, for the next twenty years. He only returned to painting after the loss of his partner.

His work was at first informed by his loss, and was very much a cathartic experience. It has since evolved, and developed into a personal observation of the present political and social climate.

He now paints full time from a studio in Kent. He shows his work regularly, and has sold paintings to collectors worldwide.

Alleged Assault on Pax by Mars, War and Peace | 2021

I like to paint people, and study their interactions with each other, with the artist, and also with the viewer. What started out as intimate observations of personal relationships, has evolved into a harsh look at the male gaze, privileged old men, and just how badly some people are treated.
