“The pieces’ centre work expresses abstract themes from spirituality to personality. The pieces in this assembly were refined and produced through an extensive series of experiments, bending and pushing the boundaries of porcelain to achieve an elegant, sophisticated and minimalistic resolution. The vases visually encapsulate the stranger, less familiar, and more candid aspects of what it means to exist as a human. The marks and grooves that punctuate the face of each vase, showcase the individual “growth” experiences that each had been subjected to, while the yarn that binds and bundles them, depict ideas of relationship and connection.”
