Renee Yau (b.1988) was born in British Hong Kong and is based in London. She is a visual artist interested in creating spatial, expressive and paintings. Her work ranges from quiet to personal introspection. The artist began converting her graphic sketches to canvas in 2019.

She was a graphic designer. She specialises in creating a visual equilibrium that the composition that relates to each other in terms of the visual elements of art (line, shape, colour, space and texture) is conveyed to create visual balance.

She has spent time in Hong Kong and Shanghai. She is currently working on visual art and continuing her practice in London.

Renee Yau is a visual artist. She was inspired by survival and living. One of the driving forces behind it was the feeling of strangeness and disquiet where she lived. There is no differentiation between private and public, genuineness and bad faith.

As a result of how society works, environmental changes will unavoidably affect people. They will also cause us to consider how we interact with the environment, making "relocation" a crucial issue we must face. What I attempt to discuss and think about in the subject of "Relocation." is also what I want to explore in my new site - although London is foreign to me, I feel familiar occasionally. It seems to have a special connection to my past.

Acrylic Gouache and tapes are the primary medium. It is essential for me that you can see that everything has a precise shape. But it also has to have this temporary about it.
