She is interested in a wide variety of illustrative methods with particular reference to silent comics, narrative reportage and printmaking.
Rosie was featured in Issue 13 of ‘Pressing Matters’ magazine and has illustrated for ‘Counterpoint’ risograph magazine and ‘Salt and Wonder’ food journal, amongst other publications.
Rosie Leech is an illustrator, designer and printmaker currently based in the UK. She did her Foundation year at Falmouth School of Art, and graduated from the Illustration BA(Hons) at Edinburgh College of Art in 2019.
She works with a range of traditional materials and techniques, including screenprint, risograph and etching, as well as handbuilding with porcelain. All her illustrations are hand-drawn and she tends towards extremely precise creations.
Her risograph printed silent comic interpreting Italo Calvino’s short story ‘The Distance of the Moon’ was shortlisted in the 2020 World Illustration Awards.
