Silke Steinraths is a photographer and digital artist exploring the intersection of classical photography and artificial intelligence. Her work navigates the fine line between reality and digital creation, questioning how technology shapes our perception of visual art.

With her latest series, PIXELS, Steinraths deconstructs and reconstructs photographic compositions, breaking them down to their smallest digital unit—the pixel—and transforming them into abstract, thought-provoking works. Since 2023, she has been deeply engaged in AI-driven image generation, creating visual concepts that explore the balance between precision and fragmentation, control and randomness.

A central theme in her work is metamorphosis, particularly reflected in a specially created video: images evolve from pixelated abstractions into photorealistic compositions, blurring the lines between digital construction and tangible reality, and highlighting the fluid transition between both worlds.

Beyond the visual aspect, Silke Steinraths has also used AI to generate the soundtrack for this video, further expanding her exploration of AI’s creative potential. The combination of AI-generated imagery and AI-composed music transforms the experience into a multi-sensory journey, bridging technology and artistic intuition.

Her works will be exhibited for the first time in April 2025 at the Cluster Photography & Print Fair in London, where they will be showcased as part of an international platform for contemporary photography and digital art.
