Landscape#1 | 2022

Tami Ishida studied glass art at universities in Japan
and the UK. In the course of her studies, she became interested in old objects, especially small, hand-held crafts. Her works are made by blowing and polishing, and are exploring a joy to behold and a delight to hold in the hand.

Vessels are like a canvas for me. I represent my inspirations from antique things and natural things into the vessels. Working with glass, I am tracing the narrative of its history and tradition.
