Tom Gallagher has a unique bond with urban and natural landscapes. His practice focuses on the study of our intimate relationships with our lived environments, documenting overlooked spaces through lens based media. Working primarily in landscape, his images reveal the atmosphere and sensibilities of place.

After receiving a Bachelor of Arts from Southern Illinois University, he traveled abroad extensively, which helped shape his interest in context and landscape. He works primarily with film, polaroid, and digital print media and is currently living in New Mexico, USA. Tom has been exploring the extensive ecology of the southwest desert landscape studying the geography of this place through manipulation and collage.
