This textile follows the series Sehnsucht. Psychologists use the word to represent emotions, associated with longing for the ideal alternative experience. It centres around depicting a mood through colour and scenes. Like a paint brush swirled across paper. The mindful experience intertwined with weaving material qualities that resonate memories connoting the outdoor environment.

For this framed textile art the yarn was harvested, and spun into flax fibre. Handwoven and transformed with natural colour resits dye techniques into a transience of hues. Evoking a sense of harmony between contemporary aesthetics and the natural world. Creating a timeless, sustainable, transitioning textile.
